Bruce Maxey
AIA

Principal | Director of Higher Education Design

Bruce's journey at BLDD began in April 1992, when a referendum for McLean County Unit 5 created an opportunity for him to join the firm as a Structural Designer. His talent and dedication quickly propelled him forward. Within five years, he had taken on the challenging role of Project Manager. Bruce's leadership potential was evident, earning him a promotion to Associate in 2000 and later, Principal in 2008. When John Drayton retired, Bruce was the natural choice to step into the critical roles of CFO and COO. Today, he continues to excel in these positions, guiding BLDD's financial and operational success.
