Following a successful year-long master planning process, designed to address concerns of aging infrastructure and facility inequities, Lanphier High School was identified as a top priority for revitalization among the district's three high schools.

The project at New Berlin's Junior/Senior High School provides modern facilities for all grade levels in the district to learn and grow. The additions and renovations aim to reorganize and enhance core educational spaces, creating a clear sense of place for both junior high and senior high school students. While different grade levels have age-appropriate spaces, shared areas are centrally located for easy access.

Through a $100 million bond referendum, the Edwardsville School District can provide 21st century learning environments throughout their facilities.

Founded in 1846, the City of St. Charles School District has been a cornerstone of the community, contributing significantly to the city’s rich history. As the district prepared to renew an upcoming proposition, it recognized the necessity of developing a comprehensive long-range facilities master plan to ensure the prudent allocation of district funds.

The new Ellsworth Dansby Jr. Magnet School houses K-8 students in an environment that revolves around student-focused learning with the incorporation of flexible and collaborative work spaces to encourage students to work in small groups.

​The new K-8 school features a commons area with a stage for presentations and events, along with a media commons in the core of the school. Students enjoy colorful “portals” to represent different environments within the school, as well as creative makerspaces for a hands-on education.

West Side Christian Church (WSCC) located in Springfield, IL, is a growing congregation looking to serve God and their community in bigger ways. WSCC worked with the religious design experts at BLDD to complete a master plan that facilitates their growth through the expansion of their Kids Ministry space, the creation of a new entryway, a large worship center, and environmental graphics to increase visibility and branding.

In the heart of an established senior living community, BLDD Architects transformed a challenging site into a state-of-the-art aquatic facility that complements the existing architecture. This 3,900-square-foot addition, enhanced by 1,470 square feet of strategic renovations, demonstrates how thoughtful design can maximize limited space while delivering premium amenities.
