Architectural Designer
As a student, Liam worked one summer in a construction job and interned at several architectural firms, which provided experience on a variety of building types including student housing, mixed-use developments, and schools.
During his time as a research architect at ERDC CERL in Champaign, fresh off earning his master's degree in May 2023, Liam dove into the cutting-edge world of sustainable building technology for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). He tackled everything from pioneering mass timber construction to developing advanced mold prevention techniques. His passion for sustainable design didn't stop at research – he also earned his LEED® Green Associate™ certification while working there.

Why BLDD?
BLDD's focus on schools provides unique opportunities for design, as the experiential component of educational facilities is so different than typical commercial or residential projects. BLDD has lots of examples of fun and play in their design work that are very inspiring.
