Sara started her career with BLDD in 2015 as an interior designer for education spaces. She briefly spent some time in Dallas, TX, working in workplace interior design at Corgan Associates. Here, she worked for 3 years as both a workplace and education designer. In 2025, she moved back to Illinois and regained employment with BLDD as a Design Lead.
Sara graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, and a Minor in History. She is interested in historic homes, and takes great pride in having done a personal project of renovating a 100 year old home back to its former glory.

What profession would you do if not Interior Design?
If I was not an interior designer, being a florist would be my next choice. Combining nature with my innate desire to create would be a satisfying profession.
What is your favorite way to relieve stess?
Going for a run or to a group fitness class after a hard days work keeps my stress at bay.
