As an extension to the Carriage Crossing Senior Living (CCSL) Rochester community, BLDD was commissioned to design a townhome/cottage master plan. The project is built on a 3.17-acre site that consists of 14 one-story cottage quadplexes, triplexes and duplexes.
Each of the independent living homes is designed with a farmhouse-like feel to compliment the surrounding agrarian context. The project is located directly west of the CCSL Rochester assisted living project that was completed by BLDD in 2021. The cottages are currently under construction.

In the heart of an established senior living community, BLDD Architects transformed a challenging site into a state-of-the-art aquatic facility that complements the existing architecture. This 3,900-square-foot addition, enhanced by 1,470 square feet of strategic renovations, demonstrates how thoughtful design can maximize limited space while delivering premium amenities.
Situated on 6.7 acres of rolling countryside adjacent a bustling commercial corridor, the Landings 142-unit Senior Living campus offers Batavia and surrounding communities a variety of lifestyle options. The building provides distinguished entrances for both Independent Living and Assisted/Memory Care residents.
The Three Crowns Park dining room project, completed in 2024, transformed a formal dining room and bistro into a vibrant space. The design team faced a unique challenge: how to create an exciting, contemporary atmosphere while maintaining excellent acoustics—particularly tricky after removing sound-absorbing elements like carpeting and tablecloths.
