BLDD Architects, Inc. is proud to welcome four new faces to its architecture team. President Steve Oliver says, “It is a pleasure to welcome these four outstanding and creative individuals to our team. Each brings an array of knowledge and innovative ideas to the firm that we are thrilled to share with our clients.”
Brandan Larson, PE joins BLDD as a structural designer with five years of experience, including primary and secondary education facilities, industrial manufacturing plants, healthcare facilities, and many more. Larson specializes in structural design and detailing of concrete, steel, wood, and masonry structures.
Dustin Piercy returns to his Illinois roots, joining the BLDD team as an architectural designer. He brings several years of experience from his time in New York, where he focused primarily on corporate high-rises in Asia. Piercy has worked on various mixed-use projects in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Boston, New York City, and Chicago. He says, “In architecture, the experiential quality of a space and how it impacts the end user is the most important aspect for me.”
Gina Misek will serve as an architectural intern at BLDD’s Chicago office. She is passionate about design and architecture and received her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture at Judson University. While attending Judson, Misek was a teacher’s assistant in the Architecture and Interior Design Discovery Camp and also built a house as part of Grundy Area Vocational Center’s building trades class.
Londarius Hayes, a previous Because Life Deserves Design Scholarship recipient has joined the BLDD team for the summer as an architectural intern. Londarius currently studies architecture and business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Hayes is a two-time Earl Prize nominee who strives to “utilize architecture as a way to re-envision our current reality.”
