BLDD Architects Announces Leadership Transition: Steve Oliver Retires After 16 Years as President; John Whitlock Named Successor

BLDD Architects, an award-winning architectural firm with a 95-year legacy of designing transformative educational and community spaces, is pleased to announce the retirement of its President, Steve Oliver. Principal John Whitlock, who has played a pivotal role in some of the firm's most innovative projects, will assume the position of President effective January 1, 2025.

Oliver_SteveSteve Oliver's career at BLDD Architects spans over three decades, beginning as summer help in May 1987. After transitioning to a full-time position in 1988, he obtained his professional license in 1991 and became an Associate in 1995. His leadership capabilities led to his advancement to Principal in 1999, ultimately culminating in his appointment as President in 2008, demonstrating a remarkable progression from entry-level to executive leadership.
